Good bye JustGiving

I’ve never been good at saying goodbye and with today being my last day at JustGiving, nothing feels different yet. I joined the team in 2006 and a lot has changed over 4 years. Back then it was very much a startup and now it’s a lot more like a company/corporate hybrid.

The team went from 20 to 60 people, moved 3 offices, looked after some 9,000 charities and enabled them to raise £770 million online with 1.9 million fundraising pages. I wouldn’t trust that last figure. I’ve made a lot of fundraising pages over the years.

I’ve learnt a hell of a lot during my time at JustGiving – working with some amazing people, companies and on interesting projects but it seemed the right time to move on for the opportunity of working with a smaller team and how different it would be.

There’s a good article about the new start up I’m joining here… and you can find out a bit more by going to the site. I’ll hold back my thoughts and excitement for a different post… mainly because I dont want to take away that I’m going to miss the people at JustGiving.

I have so many people to thank that it just wouldn’t be fair to list them here. But that’s it… there’s nothing more to say, cheerio for now.
